Tonix News Attracts Attention.  On June 1, Tonix stock had a significant price gain (21.9%) on volume of 169.2 million shares (compared with average trading volume of about 2.0 million shares).  This follows the issuance of a patent on the company’s monkeypox vaccine and the announcement of a share buyback program.  Also significant is the planned presentation of preclinical data at meeting of American Transplant Congress held June 4 through 8.

Share Buyback Program.  Tonix announced that it has authorized $12.5 million for repurchases of its outstanding stock.  The company reported $140.4 million in cash or $7.50 per share on March 31, 2022, with a market capitalization of only $45.6 million when announced.  At the recent prices, this could repurchase about 2.5 million to 5 million out of the 18.7 million shares outstanding.  We also believe this attracted attention to the stock’s large discount to cash on hand….
