The ETF invests in equity securities of Canadian companies in order to replicate the S&P/TSX Composite ESG Index The index is a broad-based, market-cap-weighted index that is designed to measure the performance of companies in the S&P/TSX Composite Index (the broader index) meeting certain environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria, while maintaining similar overall industry weights as the broader Index.
