As a development company, Cypress Development generates no revenue or operating income. It incurs expenses associated with advancing its Clayton Valley lithium project. For the twelve months ended December 31, 2021, the company generated a net loss of C$2,688,372 or C$(0.02) per share. From a cash flow perspective, net change in cash for the twelve months ended December 31, 2021, increased C$21,035,601. Cash flows used in operating activities amounted to C$1,561,717, while cash flows used in investing activities amounted to C$6,035,206. Cash flows from financing activities amounted to C$28,632,524. Following the company&#8217;s 2021 financial report, we increased our 2022 and 2023 loss estimates to C$(0.02) per share and C$(0.07) per share, respectively, from C$(0.01) per share and C$(0.06) per share. The increase in forward expenses modestly reduced our valuation and our price target was trimmed to US$3.10 or C$3.95 per share from US$3.20 or C$4.00 per share. As of December 31, 2021, Cypress Development reported cash and cash equivalents in the amount of C$23,137,155 and marketable securities amounting to C$24,000. The company had no debt. Shares outstanding were 132,860,494. During the first quarter of 2022, the company raised gross proceeds of C$18.1 million with the issuance of 9.1 million units and 142,000 share purchase warrants in a bought deal financing. As of May 6, 2022, the company had 143.3 million shares issued and outstanding and, including 21.2 million share purchase warrants and 7.1 stock options, 171.5 million shares outstanding on a fully diluted basis.
